For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "Experts for Expats", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Hare and Tortoise Marketing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales no.  05764837, trading as Experts for Expat. Registered address: 23 Lowther Road, Brighton, England, BN1 6LF 

Any Directory Listing or Affiliate Partner membership purchased through the Experts for Expats website is entered into with Hare and Tortoise Marketing Ltd.

The applicant, member or partner purchasing the listing or membership is referred to as "you" or "your" throughout these Terms and Conditions.

1. Agreement term

All Directory Listings and Affiliate Partner memberships are provided on a 12-month agreement.

Membership commences once an application, paid for, has been approved and the listing has been published on the Experts for Expats website.

2. Fees and payment

Directory Listing membership is charged at £30 per month (£360 per year) or £300 per year when paid annually.

Affiliate Partner membership is charged at £50 per month (£600 per year) or £500 per year when paid annually.

All fees are payable in advance.

VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate, currently 20%, where applicable. UK businesses should assume VAT is payable unless otherwise stated.

3. Refunds

Applications may be cancelled and refunded at any time before the listing is published on the Experts for Expats website.

Once a listing has been published, membership fees become non-refundable.

4. Renewals

A renewal reminder will be issued approximately 30 days before the end of the agreement term.

Unless written notice of cancellation is received before the renewal date, the membership will be renewed for a further 12-month period.

Renewed listings and memberships will only remain visible once the relevant renewal invoice has been paid.

Experts for Expats reserves the right to suspend or remove listings where renewal invoices remain outstanding.

5. Directory Listing membership

Directory Listing membership includes:

• A profile within the Experts for Expats directory
• Company name, logo and business description
• Contact details and website link
• Listing within relevant categories and locations
• A website link marked as "nofollow"
• The ability to request updates to profile information during the membership period

Directory Listing membership does not include:

• Guaranteed traffic or visits from Experts for Expats
• Referral opportunities
• Client introductions
• Commission arrangements
• Use of the Experts for Expats Partner badge
• Participation in content, webinars, events or promotional campaigns
• Featured placement within the directory
• A search-engine-friendly ("dofollow") website link

6. Affiliate Partner membership

Affiliate Partner membership includes:

• Everything included within a Directory Listing
• Featured directory placement
• A search-engine-friendly ("dofollow") website link
• Use of the Experts for Expats Affiliate Partner badge
• Access to the Experts for Expats partner network
• Opportunities to participate in selected content, marketing and promotional initiatives
• Eligibility for referral opportunities where appropriate and at the discretion of Experts for Expats

Affiliate Partner membership does not include:

• Guaranteed traffic or visits from Experts for Expats 
• Guaranteed referrals or client introductions
• Guaranteed content placement
• Guaranteed newsletter features
• Guaranteed event participation
• Exclusivity within a sector, profession or territory

Use of the Experts for Expats brand

Affiliate Partners may use the Experts for Expats Partner badge while their membership remains active and all fees are paid. The badge and all associated branding remain the intellectual property of Hare and Tortoise Marketing Ltd. Permission to use the badge ends immediately upon termination or expiry of membership.

7. Search engine and business performance

Experts for Expats makes no guarantees regarding:

• Search engine rankings
• AI visibility or citations
• Website traffic
• Domain authority improvements
• Lead generation
• Enquiries received
• Revenue generated
• Business performance resulting from a listing or membership

Any SEO, marketing or visibility benefits will vary depending on individual circumstances and external factors beyond our control.

8. Content and profile information

Members are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate, lawful and up to date.

Experts for Expats reserves the right to edit, amend or format profile content to ensure consistency across the website.

Experts for Expats may request updated information where details become outdated or inaccurate.

9. Acceptance and removal

All applications are subject to review and approval.

Experts for Expats reserves the right to decline any application at its sole discretion.

Experts for Expats also reserves the right to suspend or remove any listing or membership that:

• Is found to contain inaccurate or misleading information
• Brings the reputation of Experts for Expats into disrepute
• No longer appears relevant to the audience served by Experts for Expats
• Fails to comply with these terms and conditions

In such circumstances, any refund will be at the sole discretion of Experts for Expats.

10. Changes to membership benefits

Experts for Expats may make reasonable changes to membership benefits, directory structure, website design, categories and promotional activities during the term of the agreement.

Such changes will not materially reduce the core benefits of the membership purchased.

12. Accuracy of information

Members are responsible for ensuring all information supplied is accurate, lawful and not misleading. Experts for Expats accepts no responsibility for information provided by members.

13. No endorsement

Inclusion within the Directory or Affiliate Partner Network does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of a member's services by Experts for Expats.

14. Limitation of liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or financial losses arising from participation in the Directory Listing or Affiliate Partner Network.

15. Right to refuse

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any listing that breaches these Terms and Conditions or may damage the reputation of the platform.

We reserve the right not to renew any Directory Listing or Affiliate Partner membership at the end of a membership term.
